Help Support Our Business

We are so close to being open we can taste it! However, the pandemic has added another layer of challenges that we didn't see coming. The costs associated with opening this business have come to at least 30% over our initial budget.

Please consider donating to our GoFundMe to help us pay for critical renovations that the city requires in order to grant us our license. We appreciate all the support that we have received from the community and thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for any donations to our small family business.

We can't wait to crack open a bottle of champagne with you on our opening day!

A New York Style Jewish Deli in Chicago

"In the 1980s my grandfather came to Chicago from Poland and opened a Jewish deli on the North side. His legacy inspired us to open Helfeld's in the heart of Wicker Park, so we named our deli after him - to honor his life and the journey of our family.

Helfeld's Delicatessen & Catering is a family-owned and operated business. The recipes at our New York style Jewish deli come from my grandparents, and mom. We bring you traditional, homemade, Jewish staples: hand-cut lox & bagels, the best chicken matzoh ball soup you've ever tasted, homemade knishes, noodle kugel, mouthwatering sandwiches, and much more!

We've been eating good food our whole lives, and now we want to share our meals with you! We hope to see you soon."
